I don't think you can say this unless you explored these religions bit by bit to their core. I won't believe that you explored Islam fully. You can't even if you tried. That would take years to read everything and fathom what it is. Yes, the essence of the religion is simple to grab. In fact you can read the Surah and there you go. You are here to worship God and be righteous. But are you that fluent in Arabic to get that. You always find your self short in understanding.

Try to read the The Disease and the Cure or you can find it under other titles : The ailment and the cure : also known as, An adequate response for whoever has inquired about an effective medicine = al-Dāʼ wa-al-dawāʼ, aw, al-jawāb al-kāfī li-man saʼala ʻan al-dawāʼ al-shāfī

This is one of the scholar who has a close interpretation of Islam to our day to day life. At least for me, I find his books very close to what we are living and experiencing daily. And it all based on the Quran and Sunnah and his observations of how people live.
